A Trainer Who Understands the Whole Person

Callie McFadden is the founder and trainer behind Threshold Fitness & Recovery. Born and raised in Abilene, Texas, she's called North Texas home for nearly 19 years and has been part of the Bonham/Fannin County community for the last decade — so when she says she understands this area, she means it. She and her husband have been married for almost 20 years, and together they're raising five children, which means Callie knows firsthand what it takes to prioritize your own health and strength while a full, busy life is happening all around you.

That real-world perspective shapes how she trains. Callie holds a Bachelor of Behavioral Science (B.B.S.) in Sports, Fitness & Leisure Studies from Hardin-Simmons University, is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and Senior Fitness Specialist— training built specifically for clients recovering from surgery, managing pain, or working to move confidently and safely as they age.

Outside the Gym
Life Beyond Training

Family & Faith
Wife of almost 20 years and mom of five, Callie is a member of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in McKinney. Family and faith come first, and they're a big part of why she's so passionate about helping people stay strong for the long run.

Home & Hometown
Born and raised in Abilene, Texas, Callie has lived in North Texas for almost 19 years — the last 10 of those in the Bonham/Fannin County area she now serves.

In the Kitchen
When she's not training clients, you'll likely find Callie smoking meat, grilling just about anything, or baking a fresh loaf of bread — she loves good food made from scratch as much as she loves a good workout.

Always Learning
An avid reader, Callie is committed to lifelong learning — both in life and in her profession, which is part of why she's continuously pursuing additional certifications beyond what's required.

In Callie's words
"I want every client to leave a session feeling more capable than when they walked in — not just worked out, but genuinely stronger for whatever their life actually asks of them."

Why Corrective Exercise & Senior Fitness

My passion for corrective exercise and senior fitness comes from personal experience. I have a long history in athletics, particularly gymnastics. While gymnastics was something I loved deeply, years of training also took a significant toll on my body. I've experienced fractures, injuries, and surgery, and there were times when I genuinely wondered whether I would ever be able to move, train, and enjoy life the way I had before those injuries.

Working through rehabilitation with exceptional doctors and learning how the body can recover changed my perspective on fitness. It taught me that movement is about much more than performance — it is about maintaining independence, confidence, and the ability to participate fully in life.

I still love working with strong athletes and challenging them through demanding workouts, but I have found an even greater sense of purpose in helping people who struggle with movement, mobility, pain, or physical limitations. Watching someone regain confidence in their body, improve their functional abilities, and rediscover joy in movement is incredibly rewarding to me.

My training philosophy is simple: fitness should improve your ability to live your life and do what you love. My goal is to meet each person where they are, identify what their body needs, and help them become stronger, more capable, and more confident in the way they move.

Maximizing someone's functional potential, at any age or ability level, is what makes this work meaningful to me.
